See how the upper floor juts out above the height of large vehicles.

Honestly, I wouldn't like to be in that area of the room just in case an over large vehicles just happens to clip the upper floor...........  I know it shouldn't as that would have been taken into consideration when it was built but you never know....................

Hahha, I heard it's the same in Turkey - if it's red and there are no cars, drivers just go through red.

There is a move to change the traffic light rules for quite times which are deemed to be "light" traffic.

They are talking about having all lights on all roads at the junction to be flashing amber and this would allow a vehicle to proceed, similar to a give way instruction, so long as the road is clear.

This measure is to help with fuel usage/conservation as you find one junction is on red with cars waiting but there are no cars crossing on green.

I can see the reason for it but ........................ I can see problems especially if there is an accident..... How will they deem who is at fault!!!!!

The old "give way to the right" rule would apply...

Even though you have the green light, make sure your passage will be safe (I guess the lorry's driver didn't expect the light to change so fast and it took his vehicle a time to stop), otherwise you may get into the same accident as shown on the first video

Mikhail, this is a prime example of what we get in the UK, people think that they have time to nip through without incident, the truck drivers lights had gone from green to green/amber (which means be ready to stop) and red, then there is a delay and my lights go from red to red to amber (prepare to go) to green.  He is in a 30mph limit and only 500 yards away from another set of lights on a major route, he has also come uphill.  I would say the truck probably had 8-10 seconds between seeing his amber light and me starting off, more than enough time to come to a halt - if driving legally.
