One of the attractions of living in Aberdeen is that I am little more than a ten minute drive into some lovely countryside at any time.
On Saturday we went for a run to my hometown of Banchory, 18 miles West of Aberdeen city, join with me as we drive in from the Southwest, drive along and back the main thoroughfare of the town and exit back towards Aberdeen to the Northeast.
I lived in Banchory for the first 26 years of my life and my parents still live there, like all towns it has grown outwards rapidly over the last 30 years, particularly as a commuter town for the oil industry.
I hope you enjoy.
