One of the attractions of living in Aberdeen is that I am little more than a ten minute drive into some lovely countryside at any time.

On Saturday we went for a run to my hometown of Banchory, 18 miles West of Aberdeen city, join with me as we drive in from the Southwest, drive along and back the main thoroughfare of the town and exit back towards Aberdeen to the Northeast.

I lived in Banchory for the first 26 years of my life and my parents still live there, like all towns it has grown outwards rapidly over the last 30 years, particularly as a commuter town for the oil industry.

I hope you enjoy.

Lovely little drive Brian looks like our sort of place (although probably a bit cold for Trish) ..

Really like all your attractive buildings full of Character  :goodjob:

Liked the music too .. went well with the video (particularly the first and last track which sounded very similar)

I am working on Video number 20 (another "different" slide show and I have also sourced some alternative music to use)

That bright sunny day must make up for some of the nasty ones you have over your way during winter.

Ta UM :goodjob:

The bright sunny days are few and far between though, it has been a very wet and cold summer for us so far, fantastic week in April but since then temps have only just been creeping into double figures and even on this video was only 16C.

Hopefully July, August and September will be kind before the snow comes again :blubber:
