Looking into fitting a double din radio, and by that getting a new center fascia. But the dealer i talked to, has one for auto climate control, mine is manual. Its possible to buy the control unit loose. My question is, is it really that simple?

I mean is everything else in place, is it just a question of control unit?

Know it might be a really silly question, but I have no knowledge on this matter.

No it is not possible to retrofit the Auto A/C panel as there are a number of sensors and connectors required that are not present in the Manual A/C equipped cars.

However there is a double DIN manual A/C panel available as part of the i30 accessory list. See http://www.hyundai-car.co.uk/accessories/technology/?modelName=i30&ref=429

Thanks a lot Funky, didnt think it would be that easy either I've looked at the kenwood earlier, its awesome and sweet features, also very pricey, and still need the fascia right? With the right cut for the screen.
