SO what's that gonna cost yer?
Had my SR opticoated a few weeks after I got it. 4 months later and 12000kms, it still looks amazing and needs up nicely .
Was supposed to say it beads up nicely.Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
Bloody Craig... Likely costing me 900 bucks too
That stuff looks like the bees knees - what a great shine. In the UK it is not a DIY product you can buy - a quote from the local detailer for my car was £850. I doubt that a white car like mine would show the benefit - so I will spend it on a few days away somewhere nice instead. When anf if the sun ever comes out again.
The prep is quite time consuming with the special wash he used to strip all the crap of the paintwork followed by a full machine polish/paint correction then alcohol rub and then on to the Opti-Coat basecoat (clear coat chemical bond) which is basically invisible and very difficult to make sure you haven't missed any areas, the second stage Opti-Coat Pro + application is just as difficult to see and both layers need to been done at specific 40 to 45 minute intervals in an enclosed area for dust free and temperature controlled conditions.
Figured that it is not just the chemicals costing 900 big ones. How does he do it on site?
