She's a big one!!

Here she is with her sister, it also gives you an appreciation of the size next to people working around them.

It has "ease and breeze" (power steering and air conditioning), full log book servicing, can travel at up to 165 knots (305 km/h) but gets the best mileage at 140 knots (260 km/h).  It is a bit heavy on the fuel though, burning an impressive 600 kg per hour (about 770 litres per hour).

Cost, a cool US $32m.

Who is your employer - if you can say?

I was in Lakes Entrance on  the weekend with a short trip to the Buchan caves and at Buchan there were a couple of helicopters landing to fill up water tanks to take back to fires that were (are still burning now, I guess) somewhere in East Gippsland.  One of the copters looked something like yours.  (I am no expert on helicopters.)

Hey Jamie, shame you can't take it home with you and on holidays.  :disapp:

That's better ner I expected Steve, I'da said more like 12 seconds.  So thanks for the supreme vote of confidence.      There again, if I could afford all that I could afford to have Jamie as my private chauffeur (Heli Chauffeur that is)  :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

The company is CHC Helicopters (Australia). It is highly unlikely that you see these anywhere near Gippsland. There are only four in Australia, and they're all in Broome. They aren't used for fire fighting, it would be like using a 747 for crop dusting.
