Went to my local Ford dealership, to get some parts for my daughter’s petrol KA and noticed this below oil for £13.99.  This seemed too cheap to be true for a fully synthetic and had me wondering whether it could be suitable for our i30’s?  They also sell 4 x 5 Litres for £56.49 plus postage.

You would think Ford would put there name on it if it was sub-standard (but then they do that with some of their cars  )  That's what Trish reckons anyway 

But seriously.. I reckon it would be ok for everyone but PIP and Rusty & a few of our other oil perfectionists...

What sort of crap Fully Synthetic is it then?.. (The only fully synthetic I have heard of that doesn't meet those specs)

I was going to get some for my ride on mower .. but they can get stuffed

Check the other standards quoted on the bottle. will probably exceed these, but I wouldn't use it personally without a lot of invetigation into what was in the can.

Yes, I believe the (WSS-M2C913-C) would on my i30 1.4 petrol.  On information I've found, looks like Ford (WSS-M2C913-C) requires:

•ACEA A5/B5;
•API SM/CF;
•ILSAC GF-4

It's labeled as "Synthetic Technology Motor Oil" so probably it's 100% semi-synthetic
