Good thing you have compr. insurance.

Any pics so we could see how bad it looks? My personal experiences are that i30 CW (hatch has it probably the same) has quite "strong" rear bumper.. Well not the rear bumper, but it has metal frame or something maybe 0,5 cms behind the plastic bumper. You can feel that if you push the bumper little bit with your hand. It comes quite handy with minor impacts.. Your car stays intact, when others have more damage..

Sorry to hear about the rear end prang but ..............
May be drivers of other marques are so in awe of the i30 they don't notice what is going on around them.  Hence the increasing number of rear end prangs
  • 1.4 Petrol Active I'm no expert, so please correct me if

i took her down to have the damage assessed yesterday [and the cw  ] the insurance co said to leave it at the panel shop and they have already started to repair it.hows that for quick.i assumed i would need several quotes before insurance would start on it,now insurance assessment's are done by a accredited assessor at the actual shop.the guy that viewed the damage said there is approximately $3.500 damage.ill try and get a pic off our insurance co as i didn't get a chance because i thought it wouldn't go to be fixed for at leased a week.it needs a new rear bumper, tail light, repair quarter panel and paint.I'm glad I'm not paying a cent.luckily I'm on 2 weeks holiday as i now have to drive the wife to work and home [she cant drive a manual  ] but that's cool as now i get to drive my i30 more than i would if it was siting out the front of my work. thanx to insurance.

$3,500 ! Huh nice..you are not paying for it  8)

Compr.insurence is a must have almost.. My uncle took his Ceed last day to get some scratches fixed.. Somebody scratched his right front and back doors (scratches were maybe 5 cms wide).. He also had compr.insurance and the insurance company paid for those little scratches almost AU $ 1,200.. I was shocked.. Hope your CW gets nicely fixed.

So you are taking your wife to work.. Hm..going to check up on her are you?  :) Just joking..but it's obvious you can't be without work.. When they send you on holiday, you go and work at your wife's company..
