I have installed Stardock Start 10 – cost me $3.99 – and worth every cent.

I can use either a Windows 7 replica desktop and start menu or the new Windows start menu.

Hence  I have not had to learn a new menu system

This is how the bottom right corner of my my desktop looks normally




This is when I click on the start orb – the Win 7 type menu opens




This is what I see when I click the windows key on my keyboard – the Windows 10 menu (but I rarely do this)

I re-installed Classic Shell. Couldn't be bothered fiddling with the new style controls.
