New CRDi owner

Hello i30 owners. Just registered after reading several topics on here, a lot of great reading and information. I'm convinced this is a great community you have here.

Briefly about myself... From central Europe and new owner of a i30cw CRDi 1.6 2011 in vivid blue. I think they call it a Classic Plus model.

It's not my first i30, until a few days ago we had a white i30 hatchback petrol from 2010. Was always happy with the car, just kinda regrettet not getting the diesel engine instead. And after last season I wished for a stationcar/estate as well. When the local dealer had a nice offer for a new wagon, took it.

Not the heavy styling guy and not a mechanics, but have some mods I'd like to make and change. For a first is getting an upper center tray, always annoyed me with the blankplate, so now ordered an oem tray and hope to install it soon. Of other things is bluetooth, GPS, and looking into an iPad mount. Basic stuff really, crazy with tech and love gadgets integration with the car.

Haven't had any good pictures taken yet, so sorry about missing photo. Will add them once taken.

Guess that's about it, not sure what else to mention

Welcome Reaper .. We have had a Diesel and a CW but not at the same time

The CW CRDi is the pick of the litter IMO (so congrats) The Ipad Mount sounds interesting

Haven't quite figured out the iPad mount yet, just tried the iPad with the cable today. Is great how it works with the radio and wheel controls, and at the same time charges the units, even the ipad.

Profile pic changed. Much sun in the camera, but the only picture I have atm.

Since it was taken the p-watch, factory mudflaps and rear bumper protector are mounted.

No worries I had a fiddle but couldn't easily make it much better than that .. hard to get a good picture when it is that sunny (lot nicer than the Reaper picture though)

I really like the CW body. We had a CRDi hatch for 2 and a half years (loved it). Wife now has a 2.0 Petrol CW (couldn't justify the extra $2500 for the diesel when Trish only does about 6000kms a year

Welcome! The car really looks great.
Nice to hear you were so happy with the previous i30, that you went and bought new one again -> with more space and different engine

I love my i30CW too. Has everything I need and more. If I was buying a new car today, I would go for i30CW again. I'd probably chose better equipped one and with more powerful engine (1.6 CRDI 128hp), because the prices are now much lower then they were before, but other than that....wouldn't change a thing. Well ok, if the finances would allow I'd go for ix35 or i40CW, but let's not be foolish

When you have the time, post some more pictures. The combination of blue, CW and new agressive look, really looks nice.

Think they did a good job on the facelift.

If the money was for it, i would probably have gone with an ix35 as well

the i40 is not launched here yet, think its next weekend it arrives.

Visited Aahrus some years ago. Love the area but found prices high compared to UK

Aarhus is a great place, have family there. I'd think prices in general are higher, I often browse car accessories and technical stuff, like gadgets and such in UK as it's often cheaper.

Not a fan of using a Reaper Avatar but this is a bit better...
