I'm not quite yet an i30 owner. I pick my i30 Premium GD MY14 up on Wednesday. I've been driving a 2003 Getz for 11 years though, and no complaints about the brand at all. There are so many things included in the package it feels like Christmas. Really looking forward to it.

Welcome to the club.

I sometimes wish I'd gone for the slightly higher-specced Premium, but the GD is an absolute joy to drive :D You'll love it :goodjob:

I asked about the diesel, but the saleswoman thought it wouldn't be a saving for me. It's the 1.8 petrol.

Thank you all. Feeling most welcome!

Welcome mate.. I got the 2012 GD premium and love it..

Not sure what the differences are between 12 and 14 models but the 2012 has everything you can think of..

They even have soft material on the back of the front seat belt latch ( the one where you connect the seat belt - I think that's what it's called ) is that IF it scrapes against the front console it doesn't scratch or mark it.. Genius I say :):)

Keep us posted

Yes, everything that opens and shuts. I didn't think I'd be using the sun roof, but the Spring weather has been lovely and a trip the the mountains saw it open regularly. She's red. I only ever get red cars. I'm finding the Nav a bit annoying at times, but also very useful. Switched off a lot of the warnings after I switched them on. Is there ever a way of turning the Nav off without switching off the entire console? If I'm driving locally and don't need directions, the beeping around red light camera irritates me when it drops the volume on my music. And does everyone go for their 1,500km service? I'm not sure I can be bothered. Thank you.

I cant comment on the satnav as I don't have it but the 1500km service you have to do or you'll void your warranty.
