G'Day
I'm only throwing this thread in if anyone else is interested, after sitting here and reading and replying to threads today,I realise so many topics get way out of control and so far off topic and I am one of the biggest offenders of going of topic and going off on tangents.
Perfect example is the LED lights thread,we as individuals have our own veiws and opinions on so many different subjects and threads tend to go astray,I was wondering if others would like to bring anything and everything in other subject specific threads in here and it can be let go were it goes, as long as we do not start insulting each other.

I like a good debate and getting others opinions as much as the next person.I may learn something and maybe some can change some of my strong and maybe arcaic veiws, just bring along a snippet of the thread we're talking on and bring the off topic side of it here,if no one likes the idea, the moderators can just delete the thread.

OK - I will get the ball rolling

In this this thread
https://www.i30ownersclub.com/forum/index.php?topic=21461.msg228575;topicseen#new
which I posted in a genuine attempt to show the World how Australia suffers from poverty - our "friend" Dave offers to post a picture of himself in similar clothes. Presumably to give the impression that you guys are as bad off as your Sheilas

However, when you look at the pics I have posted you can see evidence that the deprivation is confined to the 'ladies'. The blokes in the pictures are all quite well dressed which gives the impression that you Aussie guys are chauvinistic bastards hell bent on putting yourself before your womenfolk who have to wear just rags - while you stroll around in your designer jeans.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it...................

I vote for 0w30 ACEA C3 oil, positioned either side of the radiator grill, and finished off with Meguiars Pale Ale, on the barbie.

When I first read this topic I was thinking to myself, "What the hell was the topic about?"

Then it occurred to that it as I couldn't define the topic, it would be very difficult to take it off topic.

Then, someone decided to define the topic and away it went.

Then in comes Dazz ...

Brilliant

Far be it from me to stray off topic Alan, so I'll just agree 100%. Just how I like it.  :D

The fun is to stay on topic in a thread which asks you to go off topic.

The problem is - by saying that - I am guilty of going off topic despite trying to stay on topic.

Never mind - its typically topical....... :whistler:

Ah Toyotas - yes, well-made cars whose quality has given them a hefty price premium ... and I agree they're just plain soul-less, uninspired cars. FIL has the Aurion with all the trimmings and no fun to drive.

This could easily become the drivel dribble channel.

I'm stumped for something to do this Easter weekend and SHMBO isn't looking impressed.

I had to move the rear number on my wife's i30 GD because where the dealer put it two holes were exposed.  It really annoyed the OCD part of my brain.

   :agoodidea: said I.
   :YouNeedHelp: said my wife.

Then I had to put 4 screws in the front number plate so that it sat on the natural curve of the grill.

Now I feel better.  :Agoodjob: I said to myself.

  :censored: said the wife.

I bought a brand new Holden Barina in 1993 (my first new car).  The dealer's "mechanic" fitted the rear plate to the car, but as the Barina had European holes that did not line up with the number plate, he drilled holes in the new car so that they would fit.  I would have thought it would have been better to drill holes in the number plate!!

They fixed it!!

You could mow the lawn.  I did!!

I looked at the lawn.  It can wait.

Were you watching the grass grow?  I didn't know the Australian Test Cricket team was playing....   :whistler:
