would a full size spare even fit in the spacesaver sized boot?
It should do. The body shell wouldn't be changed just for a spare. If some cars have them I imagine all models would fit them in.
Unlike for instance, a Ford Fiesta. :disapp:

i don't think the space saver spare is an issue IMO.   you get a flat, put on the spare, then go and have the puncture repaired and re fit the repaired wheel.  :winker:  that's what the spare wheel is there for,not to be left in the boot and be forgoten about till the next time you get a flat.  :faint:

I would not buy a car that just has a space saver. thats one thing i first check when i look at a new car. looks like its not really a Hyundai but a  Mazda 3 clone i'm happy my late model FD has full size 16" mag wheel so i got 5 mags. i was in a motorcycle tyre service just before Xmas & guy had a space saver to put a new tyre on, the tyre on it was all burnt rubber. i asked what Motorcycle thats off as looks more like a car wheel. he said its a car space saver & they just use a motorcycle tyre. the guy got caught in country with a flat & thats what happens when you ddrive them at normal speeds in hot weather on Aussie country roads and they are not rated to support much weight. i would be checking i had 40psi in them. unless i just drove in the city.

Might be worth checking but I think they actually need a lot more than 40 psi. My memory is telling me 60 psi but maybe someone can look at theirs and check.

My 2012 GD has a space saver spare. To fit a full size wheel I would need to install spacers to lift the boot floor by about 4 cm. It would be an easy job to do though.

Just the same in my 2008 FD.

You could always buy those Conti Tyre's that can be driven without air for 200k
a lady friend has a Mini they don't have a spare at all but have those tyres fitted.

Doesn't those tyres cost allmost as much as the car...
