18" Alloy Wheels?
September 09, 2008, 17:06:40
Hi all,
Can anyone tell me if the 18" alloy wheels available on the sport model will fit directly onto the 1.6 CRDI Premium without any clearance or offset problems? Anyone already fitted these wheels to a non sport i30? Do they look ok without the big bumpers and side skirts - Any pics would be greatfully received.
Thanks in advance

dunno if the rims you guys get over there are the same as our SR rims, but i believe there is a spacer plate fitted behind the rim. The specs show a different turning circle so i assume the bump stops have to be readjusted as well to stop them rubbing at full lock. I'm only assuming this tho - so I may be wrong. Also the dealers want a fortune for the 18" rims, would be much cheaper to go aftermarket and keep the originals

Yeah I hear what your saying about the dealers charging a fortune, but I really do want the car to look stock (hyundai centre caps) not too flashy etc.. plus I do realyl like the Hyundai 18" 7 spoke available on the sport
