Well what can i say, i now have the car and it looks and drives better that i could ever imagine.

for now i only have a couple of pics of the car parked at the dealer that was taken on my iPhone.

i can say that i have never driven a better car and people think im mad when they see me pull up beside them with the biggest grin on my face.

I'll try to take some more pics tomorrow using my proper camera.

but for now. I'm off for a drive :D

Due to all the construction work around my area, it's hard to find a clear and scenic place to take photos so i took some from outside the house, just for now. will keep searching for a good place for better pics.

Click the smaller image here to see a larger image:

Also i have a name for the car... i called it LUP. the license place is *** LUP so it really named itself :)

now i need a meaning for LUP

L***
U***
P***

Any ideas?

Ah you're all missing the obvious

This LUP business is quite clearly telling us all that Trips' moonlight beast is actually LUPINE, as in "like the wolf".

So it has to be "Wolfie" or "Wolfy" :D

I have notice that there is not a lot of interior pictures of the i30, so i grabbed the camera and took some shots inside the car for anyone who may be still thinking about getting a i30 or wanting to compare interiors.

this is the SR model (manual)

the thumbnails are small as i needed them this size for my website, i have just ported that post to here and couldn't be bother resizing the images again (lazy i know :p)

Just need some genuine i30 mats now...

Ordered and will have them next week. also ordered the dash mat, headlight protector, bonnet protector and iPod cable (which i got at a amazing price)

thinking about the side door protectors but have been told they are useless.

If it were me i'd swap the the leaf and scum catcher (a.k.a. bonnet protector) for the side door protectors.. Camerooney had them and thought they were o/k...

Sorry, it's only my opinion but I bought a 6 month old Nissan Pulsar (with one already on it) in 2002 and soon ditched it ..
They are generally easy enough to remove (and some people like them) but I think they spoil the line of the car...

There is a thread on here somewhere about a better alternative....this is one of them

Headlight protectors are easy to remove from the i30 for cleaning, the bonnet protector less so.

As Dazz says, they're good for catching leaves and other crap and if you don't clean behind it it'll look gross. I think in a world of painted bumpers it's a bit superfluous to have a bonnet protector.

To each their own tho.

Does anyone have any pics of the side protectors on the car. I'm looking seriously in to getting them but i would like to see them on the car and where they are placed.

Did a google search but found nothing and the one on the Hyundai site is a bit vague.

Seems that the UK gets a fair few more accessories then Australia does.
