It *may* work, as long as you have a USB cable that will work with your phone.

That said, the head unit may not have the software to integrate with some or all of the functionality that the it does with the iPhone. Best bet would be to plug it in and see if it attempts to scan the device.

The ipod cable won't fit anything but a 30 pin idevice connector. If you mean USB, you may need to set your S3 as a usb storage device when you connect it, the radio then will treat it as a regular USB memory stick, so steering wheel controls should work.

Hati to the Rescue  :goodjob:

Samsung can be a bit hit and miss with stuff like this (so be interested to hear if Hati's suggestion works)

I tried to do something similar with Trish's cheaper Samsung Flip phone to transfer some photos to our PC (was a real rigmarole) :fum: My Sony on the other hand was plug and play  :goodjob:

Your scenario (phone to PC) is quite a bit different Dazz. You would need Samsung software for that particular phone (that installs drivers telling the computer how to treat the phone), at which point you should get the option to shuffle stuff back and forth. Current model phones usually can be treated as mass storage devices once PC software is installed.

Our cars only look at the phones as storage devices, so the phone needs to have the software that make it look like a normal USB thumb drive. Most phones (in praticular those with micro USB ports) do have that these days.
