I was waiting for the call.....
We also got THE hyundai letter in early july. As we were due for a 45000 service, they fixed it then. But I got there early to pick up the car(2010 diesel cw)and they were busy trying to take of the rear tail-lights as all the brake lights in the cluster were coming on and they were a bit concerned(I have had the ones in the tail light cluster connected). All the sockets are double pins and the bulbs are a double filament bulb as well. They got a bit upset when I told them all is ok. thats how its supposed to be. They informed me that it does not comply with aust ADR's.Anyone have any comments or problems with this mod.
I've modded ours as well, and I can't see why the ADR'S are a problem. There are many vehicles that have 4 brake lights and a central led light. The bulbs fitted are standard 21 / 5 w bulbs, so where's the problem.Had our switch replaced last week no one said a thing.BTW Filled up yesterday, 2 trips to town, about 100k all up, 5.0 l/100 k's 4sp Auto.
Some of the OEM led ones are brighter IMO.
