I actually came down with one of the other members from the Leyland club and we both pulled our Ps out for the exercise.
His is yellow and mine is green.
I'm more than happy to catch up though at some point in the future (because the past is just too difficult).  :D

Don't fall over but I've got a bit of positive feedback on a Hyundai dealer.. :snigger:

I finally got around to booking Trish's CW in for the Brake Light Switch fix. I also got the brake fluid replaced as my Mate's Rates place didn't have the right tool to do that at the 2 Year service in January this year.

Dropped it in at 8.30 this morning as arranged and collected it before 10am. They charged $65 for the brake fluid replacement which I thought was fair and gave the car a fairly good complimentary wash (which it needed due to major roadworks at the end of our street) So 2 thumbs up to Motors Hyundai Devonport  :goodjob2: :goodjob:

I tested the cruise (which Trish never uses anyway) and it works fine  :happydance:

Pity there's no recall here, I just went back to replace the failed brake light switch at my own cost.  :(

We also got THE hyundai letter in early july. As we were due for a 45000 service, they fixed it then.
But I got there early to pick up the car(2010 diesel cw)and they were busy trying to take of the rear tail-lights as all the brake lights in the cluster were coming on and they were a bit concerned(I have had the ones in the tail light cluster connected). All the sockets are double pins and the bulbs are a double filament bulb as well.
They got a bit upset when I told them all is ok. thats how its supposed to be.
They informed me  that it does not comply with  aust ADR's.
Anyone have any comments or problems with this mod.

Tha ADR thing may well be correct. However, there are all sorts of things you can do to your car which breach the ADR's
Pretty sure ugly mongrel has the same mod done to his. He might be able to tell us more.

I've modded ours as well, and I can't see why the ADR'S are a problem.

There are many vehicles that have 4 brake lights and a central led light. The bulbs fitted are standard 21 / 5 w bulbs, so where's the problem.

Had our switch replaced last week no one said a thing.

BTW Filled up yesterday, 2 trips to town, about 100k all up, 5.0 l/100 k's 4sp Auto. :happydance:

Yeah. UM was telling me on Sunday the local dealer thought his were a good idea.
But I suspect there's a brightness limit on tail and stop lights for obvious reasons. Maybe this is the issue.
I know over bright tail/ stop lights are one of my pet hates along with the illegal use of fog lights.

Some of the OEM led ones are brighter IMO.
