Hey guys,

I'm a Hyundai salesperson in Queensland Australia - I'm a mod on another forum and just wanted to chime in and give you guys some info where I can.

i30 GD Tourer
Active available in 1.6L GDI Petrol or 1.6 Turbo Diesel in 6 Speed Automatic or Manual
Elite available in 1.6 Turbo Diesel Automatic Only

Standard Colours: Cool Red and Creamy White (Cool Red unique to Tourer but similar to Tropic Red)
Extra Cost Metallics: Sleek Silver and Aqua Blue (Aqua unique to Tourer)

Any other questions I'm happy to answer (within reason  :snigger:)

Thanks "Max"!

So Max, can you tell us why Hyundai Australia assumes everyone wants an auto in the Elite?  :undecided:

I'd love an Elite Tourer but am turned off by not being able to get a "manual"...

Welcome to the forum, btw.... :drinks:

Hey Rusty,

Absolutely no idea - it's the same approach that they did with the Santa Fe. Elite and Highlander are Auto Diesel only - I guess they're trying to promote the diesel engines and auto transmissions?

They did the same thing with the FD..... :(

I possibly would've bought an SLX CW if I'd been able to get a "manual"....

Hyundai need to listen to their customers instead of giving us what THEY think we want....  :undecided:

Feel free to pass that on.....cheers!  :D

Unfortunately I have no influence over what Hyundai do  :undecided:

I agree entirely because I'm a manual driver through and through but I do like to get top of the range cars where and when I can. A manual loaded car usually doesn't exist. No manual i30 Premium for example!

most top of the line cars are auto only, try and order a statesman with a manual box.  ;)  i don't know of any car manufacturers that do special orders anymore.  :disapp:

That's not just an OZ problem.

Here in DK we can get the i30 CRDi 110 HP/81 kW only with a manual  or  the 128 HP/94 kW only with the auto gearbox.  :disapp:

If you want a Kia Ceed you can only get the 128 HP/81 kW CRDi, but you can get the manual or auto box.
