I'd be trying the wreckers to pick up a motor a bit cheaper. They are easy to fit.

As Phil said I'd be going down the wrecker route, with pre tested motor, shouldn't think it would be much over $200,I suppose it's a sealed unit is it

I take it the plug into the motor is in firmly and not worked loose.

Are the wires to the motor live?

If so them would guess at motor need replacing

You can try to measure if there is 12 Volts at the wiper connector when operated.

You can get a brand new original HY wiper motor from Korea for 77 AUD.

I bought some parts there 3 months ago, it took 3 weeks to arrive, but parts came in Hy boxes. So, if you can wait, that will be the cheapest way to get around it.

Good advice so far - check that it's actually a problem with the motor and finding a cheaper alternative.

Incidentally, there's a lot of discussion out there about rear wipers.

chas43,I have been asking around my contacts,if you check all the electrics and their all working to the wiper motor plug and it is your motor itself, you should not be paying any more than $100 for a good secondhandy,I looked at a Hy/Kia one this morning, for $40,so there are cheaper alternatives out there, but we were not 100% that the one I looked at was the exact fit for the early I30
