Can we watch? :undecided:
IF i have the new GD by then are us New South Whelshman welcome?? I know we are going to win in origin but we can put that side surely...
It looks like we may have members from Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. My suggestion would be for the Brisbane members to meet at the BP service station on the Bruce and then head north to meet the SC members at the Ettamoga Pub on the highway.
From there we could head up the highway, drop off at Cooroy, the head out to Boreen Point on Lake Coorathaba for a spit roast lunch. Return via Tewantin/Noosa/Maroochy/Caloundra.
After the SC members drop off, the Brissy members can race each other home. :faint:
(Had fun running this post through spell checker )
UM, is the spit roast you mentioned the one they do at the Apollonian Hotel on a Sunday?

If so we may need to book early as the last time we were there it was so popular we missed out.
Russ
Well I've booked. Mention "the i30 group" when you book and they will put us all at the one table.
Good luck for the event Keith_H :goodjob2: :goodjob: :hatoff:

Actually its my birthday.
Good point. Sorted. :goodjob2:
I'll ensure it gets a polish before the soiree then.:goodjob2: :drinks: :goodjob:
Do any of the members mind a short amount of dirt road driving during the trip to make it a little more interesting? Some nice "Bits of dirt" around there.
I have just called the pub and so far only three couples have booked. Let's try to make this get together a big one.
You couldn't keep up :happydance:
Have just booked two more places at the table for sunday the 28th, are the briz drivers still meeting on the hwy at the BP servo

Hey Kieran, great news. Can't wait to see the Blingmobile again.
The BP on the Bruce is the plan. We'll firm up times closer to the event.
Booked. :goodjob2:
Don't have a dog.Booked. :goodjob2:
Trev, are you bringing the dog or Mrs Surferdude?
With one week to go can I please have an indication of those who will be meeting at the BP servo. I'm thinking an 0900-ish arrival for an 0930 depart to the next meeting point at the ettamogah pub targeting a 1030 depart to the lunch spot at the Appolonian. That permits an easy two hours drive for lunch. I vaguely recall booking for 1230, I'll call them and confirm.Keith, I'll be there with my wife, daughter and sister-in-law. I've booked for 4. 12.30 is what I told them when I booked.
I'm open to suggestions on timing and the route to the pub for lunch btw so if there's a better plan, lets have it.
If Trev is going straight to the Appollonian then that leaves just Sandy and I at the Ettamogah.
Do you Brisbane guys wanna stop at the Ettamogah? If you'd rather drive straight on then we are OK
with driving direct to the Appollonian. What do you think??
Russ
Now I know why you want to leave as late as possible and drive straight to the venue,1 bloke,1 car and three women,Pass  :rofl:Don't have a dog.Booked. :goodjob2:

So, Mrs Surferdude, plus our daughter and Mrs Surferdude's sister.

Yeah. I know it sounds like a recipe for disaster but in all fairness, my wife, her sister and I drove around the UK for 5 weeks years ago. More recently she joined us for a trip south as far as Merimbula (about 9 or 10 days. We often travel with our daughter. And the four of us will be going to Tassie later this year.
So, all good fun.
They'll tell me on the day :whistler::rofl: :rofl:Now I know why you want to leave as late as possible and drive straight to the venue,1 bloke,1 car and three women,Pass  :rofl:Don't have a dog.Booked. :goodjob2:

So what colour pants will you be wearing?
or haven't you been told yet
UM, do you want to meet up at Capalaba and drive up in convoy.
You might like to put your glasses on, Terry... :whistler:Redlands is a City Rusty. Capalaba is the north western extremity of it. Kerwick could live 20 or 30 ks away from there.
You might like to put your glasses on, Terry... :whistler:
Apologies Rusty. You might like to put your glasses on, Terry... :whistler:
Rustynutz, is right, Trev. His comment was about who I replied to, not where they lived. I mistook Kerwick's avatar for beerman's. :-[ :'(

Beer glasses, wine glasses or Scotch glasses? :undecided:
...... heading back to the grand plan, might it be better to target a departure from the BP at 1000 bypass the Etamoogah pub and just drive straight up to Boreen Point?
OK then departing BP @ 10 from the northern end, pit stop at EP (10-30-ish?) and then off to Boreen Pt, route to be decided on the day.Keith, Kerwick & I are planning to arrive at the BP at 10am, have a catch up over a coffee and then head north.
I won't be able to make it unfortunately. Don't talk about me. :lol:Dave, as we say here in Queensland, "don't you worry about that". :whistler:
And enjoy your slightly different route. :D
Thanks Joe.

Just so I am clear:Yes, Keith. 10am @ the BP. I've PMed Kerwick with my mobile but haven't heard from him yet.OK then departing BP @ 10 from the northern end, pit stop at EP (10-30-ish?) and then off to Boreen Pt, route to be decided on the day.Keith, Kerwick & I are planning to arrive at the BP at 10am, have a catch up over a coffee and then head north.
Presume 1030-ish depart from there, meeting Russ at the EP (and anyone else who wants to meet here) , likely around 11am and then off to Boreen Point for lunch. Looking forward to catching up with you all.
I hope you gentlemen have spent the day applying a coat of polish so the I30's look their best.
Shame I couldn't bring the wagon along....
Have fun guys (and gals) :goodjob:
Would have loved to be there

Many thanks to everyone for a fine day out.

Which camera did he use.
Godd friends.

So, they were all perfect little angels, eh.
:hatoff: To the Gals for supporting their menfolk.
I can just imagine the chaos Miss 6 and Mr 3 could have brought to the day :snigger: :Jaw: :laughter:There were plenty of kids running around everywhere. Plus dogs.
I also have a suggestion for a slightly different route that includes a couple of kms of dirt between Cooroy and Boreen Point. We can do a bit of rally driving along the way.

Did this eventuate or did you all pike out after spending weeks polishing the beasts? :whistler:
