While I was having my car looked at yesterday and sitting in the waiting room I saw a notice on the wall that said "all warranty claims MUST be finalised (repaired already) before the warranty period expires else they will not be honored" or words to that effect.

Geez. If I saw that on the wall of my dealer I'd challenge them on the spot and follow up with an e-mail to Hyundai with a copy to the dealer principal.

i was reading through this thread & found this feature to be interesting but couldn't set it up in my car.  which one is the setup button? my i30 is only about 3 weeks old but i'm taking it to the dealers for its 1000km service. anyone out there who can help?

Hi mate,

If you refer to the Owners Manual page 210/211 you press the setup button several times until the SDVC comes up the use the tune/enter button to select and adjust to on or off.. (I think that's how it works)

As manual did not mentioned the function of SDVC, recently I'm wondering the feature of SDVC, now i got the answer here. Tks, everybody. I'll try it and feel it, hopefully enjoy it.

Does anyone know if the bluetooth radios they fit into the 2011 models have the RDS feature? It's not in the manual, the "setup" button indicated earlier in this thread is one of the phone buttons now, so the initial instruction set is no good for bluetooth.


I'm pretty sure we have RDS in Perth as my few years old Harman Kardon surround amp displays stuff like station name on FM.
