yes Dazz but they have a distributor in Australia, he is in WA . redline make the best gear oil i have ever used, both in heavy shock proof & light Shock Proof. i like the heavy Shockproof it makes the gearbox shift much smoother & lasts a long time just expencive oil. but the middle east does not effect the price as there oil has no mineral base .

Without looking too hard I'd say it's thicker than needed at 15.1 cSt @ 100c, unless you are really pushing it hard enough to thin it. Even then, with such high HTHS number it won't thin out anyway. It will start thick and stay thick.

If you have a go with it Lakes I'd be interested to see what it does to your economy.

I use redline 5w20 in mine for 8 months now and runs great. Based on its hths it's around a mid 30 but I've had no issues. It's quite easy to launch stall in our US 2l beta II elantra tourings(5 speed stick) if you aren't used to driving it or just woke up  but with the redline 5w20 I no longer will get the oil pressure light on an accidental low 400rpm too fast clutch release in 1st  :sweating:

This RWAB's friend btw, he purchased his company car based on driving my i30cw  :happydance:

p.s. When I do my next oil change, I will be swapping to redline 0w30, I think it is better suited and the hths drop is insignificant.

Yes, but the storm was downgraded; we only lost a few trees. I live 18 miles south of RWAB.

On an unrelated note, I see you own a wagon also  I want to buy i30cw badging for the rear, but being a perfectionist  I want the placement to be authentic.

Could you possibly tell me the measurement on the rear hatch, from the top bend down to the i30cw badge, and from the right of the hatch? Preferably telling me which letter/number you measure to  :sweating: If you have the time that is  :happydance:

Good news about the Hurricane

Excuse the off topic folks  :winker:  In this picture where I have put the black lines is 3 centimetres (or just under 1 and a quarter inches if that is your measurement of choice) this is an old photo as we have replaced the home made sport badge with a better one now...

The personalised plates over here have a bit of a bare patch under the letters / numbers.. so I just printed on some clear (printable labels) and then sealed the print with some hairspray .... :happydance:

Looks good doesn't it  :winker:
