I've noticed all this week E10 is selling at a higher price than premium Diesel, can only imagine what the premium unlead fuels are selling for.
thats the good thing about Diesel, the price stays same all week, so  takes longer b4 it goes up when the price of oil rises. but i'm sure the price will go up soon too.

Here in the west we have Fuelwatch. Petrol stations submit their prices and it stays put for 24 hours. You can search it after 2 PM for next day's prices.

The petrol fluctuates a lot, but more importantly for me diesel prices seem to be all over the shop often against petrol price trends. I could always find cheaper fuel for my Crdi then ULP within a 15 minute driving range. Add to that Woolies discounts and we are onto a winner.

We don't have E10 at all. BTW diesel should be way cheaper because it's a "waste" product from petrol refinery. This is the case in Europe at least. We are forced to pay the artificially inflated prices here in Oz.

I think this is just temporary. It's the first week of the price rise and still at the high point of the price cycle for unleaded. I'm sure Saturday or Sunday the price of unleaded will be well below diesel.

Just travelled from Bris to Melb and back and the Diesel price remained fairly much the same no matter where you went, range of 137.9 (though this place looked sus) to 149.9 Vortex was a more consistent 144.9 to 149.9.

Imagine my surprise having driven past some servo's in some fairly out of the way places to see the most expensive petrol prices in suburban Brisbane.

LPG ranged from 54.9 to 81.9 (that would hurt). With the increase of LPG only cars, I suspect that some servo's in the middle may be taking advantage of the inability to use petrol. Though I note the new LPI falcon gets 9.4l/100 on the ultra urban cycle, so this may cause this to change in the future.

I call it the great east coast rip off,  every Easter and October long wekeends, i head out bush, usually west, and almost every time, fuel is cheaper at places like Dubbo, Lightning Ridge and Nerranderra than it is in Sydney over the easter break.  Next wekeend im off to Lake Eyre, so it will be interesting to compare prices in the Outback than the coast over holiday time.
