My first time.
I am the happy owner of a 2008 i30 CRDI automatic.
But I am not happy with the charges, for there services. My 2 year service ( 30.000) km. My speedo reading, only 15000 km, the charge was $ 400.00, this does not include oil change and Filter. I change my own oil and Filter, KIA filter $ 19.00.
The charge for the fuel filter was $124.00. I have been told it takes about 2 hours to replace the fuel filter. well next time I change my own filter.
I have a friend who works in Korea. To keep it short, he send me 3 filters. $ 30.00 each. All it cost me $ 90.00 plus $ 30.00 postage. In other words, $ 40.00 for one filter. The filter is the same part number=319224H001 in Korea.

PS: I am a retired mechanic. I have been a GMH men for 30 years, but I do like Hyundai, they have come a long way.

I have been told it takes about 2 hours to replace the fuel filter.

I watched my mechanic change the diesel fuel filter in my i30 and from start to finish it took him around 20 minutes to do. He has done Lakes' i30 too but doesn't work on Hyundais all the time. For someone who does them each day it would take even less time than this.

That is a good deal on the filters directly from Korea...
