Hi guys,

I was cleaning the windows earlier when I noticed some bird poo on the passenger side rear quarter window. On attempt to remove with a microfiber cloth and some water it came out with scratches. The scratches were on the rubber trim around the exterior of the window. It's like textured rubber and you can only see the blemish at an angle.

How do I buff out the scratch? I can't use a rubbing compound because that will make the texture smooth and make the problem worse...Help please. I only have 360km on the car and it already has a scratch and I know where it is! So mad at myself right now!

Hi jf.. I feel for you had similar things happen to new cars in the past .. gives you a sinking feelin' in your stomach  :disapp:

I think some black trim polish will fix it though so don't stress .. I'll try and find a link to some and add it to this post so you see what I mean... :D

This isn't what I use but same sort of stuff...

So there's no way ever to restore it to a "new" look without that back to black stuff? I live in the Philippines and it's damn hard to get stuff like those here!
