Hi,

I just noticed this awhile ago while trying to park. It's rainy here in Manila and temps have been around 24-30*C for a few weeks now. I have my climate control set to 24*C auto (but recirculating and to the face mode). I just noticed that from left (driver's side) to right, the left most air con vent is coolest while the right most air con vent is warmest. As in, it feels like the left vent just beside the radio has aircon on and the right vent beside the radio feels like it's on FAN mode.

When setting the climate control to a lower temperature wherein the car really has to put the A/C to work, the vents all feel the same level of cold.

Is this even possible? So far I havent noticed any problems with the A/C taking on a hot day with the sun blaring down while stuck in traffic (typical Manila climate).

Haven't noticed that in either of our i30's but I guess it is possible .. see what others say

We haven't had warm enough weather here, but it's coming. I'll check this soon.

Why don't you get a thermometer and hang it in front of each vent to verify your observations. It may turn out that it only "seems" that one vent is colder than the other.

At least, if you confirm it with a thermometer, you'll know one way or the other.

my old Kia Pregio van only had heating and air con on the drivers side only..   but the i30 seams normal, though i will close the vents on the passenger side to get more cooling and airflow from my side vents
