I recently bought the latest (Quarterly) ECOCAR magazine June/August 2011

They specialize in cars using less than 8.0 LPH or thereabouts .. Last year it was all about Hyundai this year they have given ECOcar of the Year to the Kia Optima ..

It is quite a good read (Very different to Wheels and the like)

There are articles about the Abarth 500 Esseesse, New Suzuki Swift, Nissan Micra, Lexus CT200h, BMW X3, VW Passat plus some Mercs and Audis ...

They have a website which I haven't checked out yet...

Yes, I like to pick this mag up too. It gives quite a different view on the market.
And of course, they like Hyundai  :)

Apparently they offer an online version of the Magazine (don't know if that costs $7.95 as well)

Bump.. Just bought the December/Jan issue of this Magazine ..Still only $7.95

This issue has a good wrap for the new Accent and a nice mix of other articles including 2 about Kia ...

Like I've mentioned before it focuses on economy more than performance but is an interesting read .. recommended  :goodjob:

Too good to be true, it's just a preview: 20 pages and that's all. A good preview though.
At first I thought the new Accent was a modified i30. Well, it isn't as I can tell comparing their wheelbase /wheel-track dimensions.

Ecocar is now a Bi-Monthly magazine with talk of it becoming Monthly (was every 3 months originally)

As Dave (DB08) mentioned the latest issue says nice things about the i40 (they like the styling, the handling and ride, the equipment levels the economy etc.. They also had a bit on the Diesel Accent (sounds like the next issue might have a full test)

I lost interest in the main stream car mags a few years ago but this magazine is different they concentrate on cars using less than 8.0 Lph overall and seem to like Hyundai and Kia (which now produce a lot of fuel efficient vehicles)

This Issue Feb/March also features Honda CR-Z Hybrid, Pugeot 308 & 508, Toyota Yaris and New Model Camry, Audi A1, The Volt, New LPG Falcon, The re-introduction of the Infiniti to the Aussie market and even the new SsangYong SUV...

So did I. Rarely buy them now.
I'm more likely to pick up EcoCar plus classic car mags & the Jaguar ones too, but I can't remember the last time I bought a Wheels or Motor
