I went down til it said 71kms left, light came on about 87kms left. I believe it's self-priming so no need to do anything except add more diesel! Someone else can confirm.

They are not self priming To prime, top up the tank, disconnect the fuel outlet from fuel filter housing by depressing the 2 locking tabs on the fuel hose, pump the priming pump until fuel flows from outlet, reconnect hose . The info is also available under maintenance in i30 handbook 7-32

Useful as a guide but not very accurate. I filled my petrol tank on Monday night, DTE said 327 miles. Reset trip and drove 360 miles today, DTE then showed 50 miles (so at least 410 miles for the full tank). Put another 45 litres in tonight (to full, couldn't squeeze any more in) and DTE shows 327 miles again!! Not sure how long the computer's memory is but the reading of 327 miles suggests approx 30mpg (7.84l/100km) assuming 50 litres in the tank whereas the trip claims to be averaging 41mpg. I do a lot of town driving which could explain the pessimistic DTE but I always seem to achieve at least 400 miles on a tank.

The best I've seen on filling up DTE is 487mls!

Dazzler, how much juice did you still have in the batteries?

I think they would have been close to full charge but my version of the Hybrid will only go a couple of KM's on the batteries at any one time.. apparently if you run out of fuel and the Hybrid tries to start 3 times in a row without success it will shut down to protect the battery (so although it would probably go another X amount of KMs after the DTE reaches Zero I would not be game)..

I know I can get 900 kms out of a tank (i've done it heaps of times) but sometimes the DTE reduces really quickly over the last 100KMs - opposite to the CRDi which seems to stretch the figure as it gets emptier...
