What are you going to use to interface it to, PC or phone :question:

Doesn't it just plug into the OBDII port and use its own display?

Yes it doe,s if you specifically order one of those, a lot of us use different OBDII devices.

ultragauge arrived yesterday plugging it in was a breeze and it works. Just trying to find the best place to situate it. Anyone else found a good spot (using velcro)?

One downside of ultragauge it DOES NOT detect a fuel sensor on the i30. this means that you have to tell it each time you fill up or do a partial fill else all you fuel readings will be out of sync. Sort of take the edge off it cos it looks real good.

Found a good place to put ultragauge. I had an old TomTom window bracket and with the velcro it fits perfectly so we will see how it goes :razz:

No DTE function in the SX. I mean, I knew I wasn't getting it, but my 13-year-old base-model Falcon has it?!

I thought the Ultragauge would fix me up, and it has somewhat (arrived today) but without a fuel level sensor it's just not the same...  I've been reading CAN-bus protocol documentation with the idle thought that perhaps with some old 9s12 dev kits I have lying around I could write some code to inject additional data frames for the Ultra-gauge to display, but I already have enough unfinished projects :}

Right, gonna chance my arm here! :-)

My Ultragauge has arrived and seems to work fine, I just need to do the calibrations.

But has anyone fitted an Ultra-gauge to a 1.6 petrol and if so what settings / gauges / alarms did you select?

I have had my UG in situ for a week or so now and its going good. The fuel calibration has sorted itself out and all I have to do is press the up button for a few secs after a fuel fillup and it registers the fact and all is ok. Be careful not to delete a gauge else it scrambles the screen and you have to do a reset and start setup all over again. there is a big warning message in the box about it. I switched the alarms off cos they drive you nuts on a hot day. Best to fit the gauge so its out of the sun.
Also got my $9 cashback yesterday. Also fitted on of those Hyundai boot mats that protects your boot sill when loading and unloading. Also acts as an antislip mat when unfolded in the boot. Easy to fit and use.

Thanks Ricardo. Easy to fit & set up really, I'm just struggling for an out of the sun but easy to see mounting spot.  I'm going to be using the alarms for gauges I set up, and yes I swa that warning too... I couldnt be bothered to save $9 with all the crap they were asking for though...
