Hi Guys,

Would like to know whether mine is running normally. Mine ride equipped
with 17" wheel. At 2000 rpm, speed at 75km/hr. At 2300 rpm, speed 80km/hr
and lastly at 2500 rpm, speed at 90km/hr. Is it due to loading of the car and
effect of a larger wheel? or perhaps the gear ratio need to be fine tune?
With this high rpm, higher fuel consumption was noted.

I'll check mine tomorrow.

I use 17" running at 34psi.

What gear are you interested in? (If you say jeans and a teeshirt I will murder you   )

"gear" i get it

If you can count the gears and let us know which gear it is in at those speeds, mind you the auto does have different gearing from memory.

Ill check tonite. But yes the manual and auto have very different gear and ratios. As does the CDi manual and the petrol manual.

Manual:

60 k's
4th Gear = 1600
5th Gear = 1250

70 k's
4th Gear = 1900
5th Gear = 1500

80 k's
5th Gear = 1600

Close enough anyways ^^

you think 2300 is high rpm?its a petrol engine you have 8000rpm, i dont get why peope chage gears at so low rpm on petrol engine.its not disel so stop changing so low and regarding the fuel consumption i chage gears at 3000rpm and i have a 7.5-8l/100km consumption. Its more likely to ruine your engine if you change below 2000 that if you change at a higher rpm.

Which poster is your comment intended for?

The OP has an auto, so your remark about changing gears has no meaning in this thread  :?

Welcome to the forum BTW
