You don't have to say goodbye, we have a "members other motors" section you can operate from. Maybe you could tell us about your VW  :blubber:

You must have bought a lemon i30 then?   Why not stay a while, as suggested.

You gave in too easily, Ray. You had the full might of Trading Standards on your side ;) But I think you knew that :P

Best wishes with the Passat - not my kind of motor, but if it does the job for you then it's a great swap.

All the best mate  :hatoff:

yes i shall stay here, cant miss u guys lol..... yes i did think i brought a lemon as i know most i30's are good, but it was the ' dont give a dam' attitude from the dealer that was the last nail in the coffin that done me in ... thank you for making me welcome although i no longer have Heidi

This sounds painfuly familiar and I really do feel sorry for you

I went through something similar with Ford.  Only the paint was fine, it was a million other things like my steering and transmission and interior parts etc  They pretty much ruined my car the few times they actually tried to fix it.  I sold it at a great loss

It's an awful feeling.  I tried to make myself feel better by writing everything into a nice letter and sending it to ford's CEO.  They got it and called me to apologise etc but then palmed me off to customer service, who thought I still had the car (lulz)

I hope your VW goes better! They do build good vehicles, I was impressed by the Polos I test drove a while back, although the servicing prices and driving characteristics of their dual clutch autos do put me off

another parallel with my ford story.  Companies don't seem to understand the impact poor dealer service can have on ownership (it's pretty f***ing central to your ownership experience tbh)

I was treated like shit at more than one Ford dealer and it made me decide not to buy one again.

It's sad that companies have little control over how dealers operate, you shouldn't have to go hunting around for a dealer you can trust

There's a saying Kab' "The fish smells from the head" I guess that's why Ford are so profitable worldwide,,,,,, not  :fum:

Since John Hughes has had a VW franchise in W.A. they are quite a common sight so he must be selling a few, though he's not the only dealer.
