Hello all,
I recently acquired a i30 SX diesel 2008 model, and rather optimistically hoped that by not leaving my headlights on when starting the engine would avoid the headlights problem as listed in other posts on this forum.
My weekly outing tonight to the local open mic had to be aborted as I found that my headlights did not switch on, but the sidelights, indicators and the momentary high beam worked fine (you know, the one that you use to flash oncoming traffic). The long term high beam did not work at all.
Is this the same problem as others have had? The inconsistency of the high beam failure leads me to believe that this is a wiring problem...
Any advice would be welcome. Off to the local auto store tomorrow...
