Tried to search for previous link about tinting .. Think mine was black azz which is dark but would have liked darker (certainly wouldn't want to compromise safety or my insurance thought)
Not familiar with F1... here is a link to an Aussie site that does a range of tints including the one I used...

Wooh, my tints only cost $250 from Solartint and it has an extra peice on the front windscreen and garunteed for life. $495 is very expensive in my books!

There is a Tint Professor in Geelong and they have darkest legal for $250, though I wonder about the quality as there is such a huge price difference between TP and TAC.

Update: Had my windows tinted today by Tint Professor for $265 for Premium One.  Apparently it's not very dark, according to dad.  Have I made a mistake?  According to the website, they recommend the darkest legal for black cars and premium for others.

Are you happy? That should be what matters. If it's darker than nothing then it's doing something. Any amount of tinting will definitely be reducing glare and heat, which to me is the reason you're tinting.

Hi Pika..

Can you post some pix please so we can get an idea how dark it is. Mine is supposedly darkest legal (35%) but only looks about medium...

I've yet to see it myself as the car was picked up from home and I'm still at work.  I'll take photos on the weekend, weather providing.  My previous cars had midnight express from Tint a Car, but I decided to go to TP for this one as it was cheaper (I need to watch the moolah)

Actually it's not THAT bad now that I see it in daylight (this morning) but would've preferred darker had I see how the current would look.

What I am not happy with is where the security sticker was on the driver and passenger side was, they've left some sticky residue under the tint on the passenger side.  I haven't been able to touch it fully to see if it actually is residue.  If it is, I will be going back.
