I couldnt cope with the heat n humidity in hot, humid places... I love the UK climate, its like a box of chocolates lol!
Tassie gets the best of both worlds  :happydance:

We don't get that many humid days, not like Singapore for example.
We get a few humid days each year but mostly it's just hot in summer.

aye, but must be a bummer not having snow at Christmas.... and I wonder if there's long term psychological effects of seeing Christmas cards with santa in snow at Christmas time, or do you guys down under have santa laying in the sun on a hot sunny day on your cards

There are lots of images of Summer Santa's in Google (but I prefer the Traditional one) It has snowed on Elevated parts of Tasmania at Xmas (but not often)

      Caloundra, Queensland.
It's been snowing heavily in the Australian alps in the last few days - and even in the Brindabella Ranges on the outskirts of Canberra.
Meanwhile, in Qld, just a bit over 1000 klms away - 40+ degrees C

Quite cold this morning!  :(
-20º C / -4º F
My lowest reading so far this winter.

The plugs warmed about eight sec before the engine starts (after I push the start button), but the engine run smoothly and without hesitation.
No strange sound or similar noticed at all. Impressive actually. The gearbox were a bit "sluggish" and with some "jelly feeling" but I recon that this is normal due to the low temperature.

Great Car by the way.  :)
The total milage is now 6600Km / 4100mi and my average consumption is around 4.8litres/100km or 58mpg.
Very good in this cold weather I believe.

The lowest I've seen recorded on the dash was 9 degrees C on an early morning in the depth of the local winter. It was horrible

I'd be saying "Bransleforbrukningmedel" too if it was that cold.
