Doesn't surprise me, I have to say.
I'm not sure what they wanted to achieve with Opel that they have been unable to achieve in the past 65 years with Holden.  :undecided:

Are you at all surprised,I remember when they first brought their motor;s out in the Gemini and Torana's,they where the crappiest motors, unreliable.
I have looked at a few of them,my opinion is they are a very expensive cheaply made car

I'm all for variety in the market, but a combination of a fairly saturated small market and premium pricing  :undecided:

but more were sold here badged as a holden than badged as an opel.  :winker: i think the opel badge scared the buyers off.  :snigger: none of the other small holdens are being sold with their daewoo badges on.

It's not a Holden unless it's pressed, forged and assembled here IMO. :fum:

Someone didn't do their homework.  The dealers who've sunk money into showrooms will be hurting.
One locally has just completed a new Opel showroom in the last few weeks.

Ironically I was reading a Wheels magazine in a waiting room this afternoon. It was from last year and the headline was along the line of "Opel enters the Australian market, but can they make it work?"

Just one year later, the answer is, "NO."  :Pout:
