There is one service station that I know of in Brisbane that has driveway attendants who will fill your car and do  tyres and windscreen. It's in Dutton Park.
There are also several in Tassie. At least one of those is in Launceston. I saw the signs as I drove in. After about 2 minutes I got out and served myself. Nothing was said as I paid the bill.  :undecided:

Not many, Trev.. But like you say a couple.. But you have to wear a short dress before they will come out!  :snigger:

And the problem is?????

Your red dress would work Terry.  :goodjob:

I'll start with prostitute.

Now that's a profession that's not around nowadays. :whistler: :fum:

Well, I can't find one.  :D

I hear all the cool kids in the new generation call it by its slang term:

Marriage  :snigger:

Service station attendant.

In the state of New Jersey it is illegal to pump your own petrol; SSAs everywhere.

Not sure of the relevance of the image but that would stop drive offs (or certainly reduce them)  :goodjob:

Cooperer

They are still around.  I've seen them in work in Scotland (at Glenfiddich) and in Tasmania, South Australia and New South Wales.  After all, the wine barrels, etc. don't make themselves.

There are a few full service petrol stations down this way.

We call someone who makes a barrel a "cooper" in the UK. You Aussies seem to have added an "er". Makes it sound like you are not surerer about it.

A bit off topic but my first new car (as opposed to second hand) was a Hillman Imp which had a 875cc Coventry Climax all aluminium engine at the rear of the car.  The engine and gearbox were great, but the rest of the car rubbish. It had a 12 month warranty and during that first year it was in the garage for a total of 11 weeks. The main problems were with the suspension and pneumatic throttle.

What you're really telling us, Alan, is that your first climax was by far your worst climax.

Alan the 65 Hillman Imp by Rootes Group was my first car in 1967, I thought it was a magnificent motor back then.  Mine was green in colour.  In 1969 I traded it in for a Ford Falcon Panel Van - one that could fit a mattress in the back :-[ You know what for. :snigger: OK I will say it 'A shagging Wagon.' :happydance: :-[

My car was also a slime green. I had so much trouble with it during the first 18 months (and now out of warranty) the dealer offered to take it back with a very attractive deal for a dark blue Singer Chamois which was a "posh" Imp. The Chamois had a modified suspension and the pneumatic throttle had been replaced by a cable which proved to be reliable. I only had this car for about 18 months because I was promoted in my job and it came with a company car - a Singer Gazelle.
