I guess if you make enough predictions, some will hit the mark but a couple of these are eerily close - whilst others just didn't see the light of day, although the technology exists for most of them.

I just think Tatts look ok on sailors.   My grandfather was in the RN 1913 to 1943, retired as a CPO Steward, he had tatts.

Thanks and my late father was in the British Army - 1940-1962.  WW2, Korea, Malaya. Survived all that only to die from a heart attack in OZ, aged 55, only 9 years after emigrating to 'The Lucky Country.'  He had no tatts.

As for me, no tatts, I did 3 years in the Brit Army, 63-66 before transportation to the Colonies in 66.

Thanks Lester.  One of the reasons I enjoy going down to my local RSL is to hear and share stories with others.  My own father has only now opened up about some of the things that happened to him (and around him) during his time in Vietnam.  That is, as he puts it, because only somebody that has come under enemy fire knows what it is like to come under enemy fire.

I nearly got fired once, but I guess that is different!
