Hi All,

Just finished working a car ship tonight and we had a heap of Hyundai cars getting backloaded from Brisbane on to the ship.  Lots of i30's including the new wagon.  I checked the build date and it was Feb 09 for both versions. 

I'm sure there were some staying in Brissy but the ones we handled were headed for Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart.

Only had it for a few weeks but am loving it so far.  Huge step up from my 12 year old Excel.  I got a SLX petrol manual in steel grey.  Just had tinting done the other week and it looks great.  Haven't taken any pics yet but hopefully will in the next week or so.

Yes, there was both petrol and diesel.  There seemed a good representation of all models, versions, colours, etc actually.

Hey thank's Zef & sorry, but makes sence as girl's tend to be carefull drivers, would be a requirement for that type of job i would imagine.

There's only three females out of over 100 employee's.  But you're right, you have to be super careful driving. However we work by very strict procedures which minimizes the potential for accidents greatly.

Looks like Zefs 'ship has come in'.  Had a good crawl around the i30CW at the motor show (Melbourne) yesterday and apparently the dealers have all been to the launch/briefing sessions and been given their allocations - release is next week apparently.

I am told a ship with I30's arrives in Sydney on 15 March 2009 so I assume that is the same ship Zef loaded.  My I30 is going to be sourced from the Sydney drop off then trucked to Brisbane.

I should hopefully have it by the end of the month.

Sounds like a different ship actually.  I worked the Suijin last weekend and it probably arrived in Sydney (Port Kembla) the next day or two.  Doesn't take long for them to go down the coast. 

At any rate, hope you get your car sooner rather than later. 

I was at Essendon Hyundai today buying a used Getz.  We have two Hyundais in the family now. 

I noticed they had a whole pile of new i30s including six or so wagons that they didn't have two days ago.  About $1500 extra over the hatch gets you a wagon.  Very little for the extra real-estate.  They look super.

I was told by the dealer today (who had just checked with Hyundai) that the ship carrying my I30 has docked in Sydney but the car is still sitting on the boat.

At least things are happening.  I am counting down the days until it arrives.

Don't remind me... although I am looking forward to my MY10 i30 - although it might have become an i35 by then!!! 

Should have it before Easter, if the planets are all in alignment...
