Recently our 2013 i30 was upgraded in Navigation firmware, Proving disastrous as more problems were created than fixed the" I agree screen ended up taking for ever to allow access to Navigation screen and sometimes cause the unit to reboot.

After bringing this issue up with dealership they advised that other customers had the same problem and as such suggested that they would return the firmware back to a previous version.

Upon receiving the car back the navigation was back to factory default requiring all information re setup, we had fuel tracking and 70 AddressBook entries wiped does anyone know if there is a process to backup and restore user information after firmware upgrades/ downgrades?.

Even our $149 Garmin can be backed up.  If the answer is no it seams pointless to invest time in setting up address for it to get wiped on next upgrade.

I don't know if the system can be backed up but I suspect the "downgrade" was a wipe and re-install, I have never had an address book issue when upgrading.
