Another NSW member

Hi, another Sydney based member here.

I'd been looking around casually for an i30 wagon to replace my old Commodore, but not seeing much around. I had been thinking manual, and possibly diesel, but a nice 2011 petrol auto model became available last week and I took the plunge and snapped it up.
So far very happy with it, early days.

Anthony. The 2.0 Petrol is a fairly strong and reliable motor.

Sounds like you have a couple of years warranty left Anthony. The 4 speed auto has given some trouble so make sure you get it sorted under warranty if you have any problems.

Signs of an issue are if there is any delay in selection of gears particularly reverse. Ensuring the transmission is serviced properly is paramount.

There are several threads on here about it. I'm not trying to alarm you, just a heads up...

I'll keep an eye on it, yes it still has a bit of driving to go under the original warrantee.
So far the gear selection is much quicker than the old Commodore auto.

Just back from Melbourne, 2 adults, 2 teenagers and luggage.
Very happy with it, handled hill and highway fine, got everything in the back, and used about 2/3 the fuel of the Commodore.

So far, I like it a lot

You've got to be happy with that! I like the CW/Tourer (One of the word's best kept secrets)
