Hi everyone, I'm the very happy  new owner of a secondhand red 2010 i30 FD Sportswagon. My old and much loved Camry station wagon broke down about 200 m from my home when I was trying to limp her back there  :-[ I'd been thinking about getting an i30 for ages and even test drove one but couldn't afford a new one.  I couldn't believe my luck when I went on Gumtree that night and saw that a car yard near work had a red wagon with roof rails.  I rang up and booked it for a test drive the next day and that was that (with no pressure from couple who were also looking at it and would've bought it if I hadn't according to the salesman).  It had been used as a hire car but it was in really good condition.   I love it due to it's size - easy to park and for taking camping over summer and it's also roomy enough for me to put a mattress in the back if I don't want to drive home from a party  :happydance: The only problem I've had so far is with the radio wiring as I can't listen to AM radio due to buzzing.  My dilemma now is that I really need to get a tow bar put on and roof/kayak racks as I've bought a trailer and a kayak.  I'm on a pretty tight budget so I'll be searching this forum for the cheapest option in Australia in terms of brands etc, I saw some racks on eBay but I'm nervous about getting them. Welcome aboard redluna. We have a few very active Tassie members.
There is a range of information on this site regarding both tow bars and roof rails so the search engine is your friend.

:welcum: So you already have nice Sportswagon Alloys  :goodjob:  :winker: (so ignore my PM)

Like I also said, the solid read needs to be waxed fairly regularly to stop fading but looks good on the CW.

I'm guessing it is a 2.0 Petrol Auto.. Not many Sportswagons around.. Leather trim and SR Alloys .. nice!

Hi redluna,

 :wlcome02:

As Surferdude has said, there are a few of us Taswegians on the forum.  I'm from a bit further south than you, and I no longer have my i30; but the forum is great for information and a bit of a giggle at ourselves.
