The dealer is the middleman, they cannot carry the cost if Hyundai don't approve the repairs and put up the money.
The original thread noted that the spark plugs were not replaced as required as part of a service. Not complying with the service schedule is flirting with danger in my opinion. The push to increase service schedules will no doubt have reduced the margin of safety, thus caused less tolerance on the parts to withstand going beyond the service schedule.
You should be careful about making defamatory statements online, there are plenty out there who have been the victims of civil action.
