Child Genius, the hit Channel 4 series which challenges gifted 8-12 year olds around the UK in an attempt to find Britain’s brightest child, returns for a third series this week.

Overseen by the IQ society British Mensa, the show features some flabbergasting brain power from the youngsters – as well as offering us a glimpse into their lives behind the scenes.

But how would you fare under pressure in a pub quiz with these young superstars? These are 12 genuine questions from the new series – how many can you get right?

I just flicked through the questions,I worked out I'm not 8 to 12 years old and not a genius,so just went screw it,information I didn't really need to know  but I do know which is the only bird that can fly backwards
