If you go by the book for maintaining your warranty I think it's a case of XXXX kms or XXXX months, whichever comes first.

As the schedule say's...12 months or 15,000km's, which ever occurs first.

Yep, I do the same with mine, as long as the logbook is stamped and products are compliant. :victory:

Only issue with non Hyundai servicing is that you wont receive ECU or Radio updates if there are any.

I use a non-Hyundai service centre but supply my own oil so I know what goes in there.
The service must be done by the book though, according to the Hyundai service schedule and the place I use is pedantic about this.

Good choice.  You don't have to go to a Hyundai dealer for servicing out of "loyalty".  I used to get mine serviced by the local garage.  Much cheaper than the dealer and a better customer service.

You can come up with all the consumables and have them charge for labour only. :winker:

Castrol Edge Titanium 5W/30 or Shell Helix Ultra oil is a good place to start and you can pick up the filters off Ebay cheap, although sounds like you might not have time if service is already booked.

I've used Shell Helix Ultra (not Extra) in both of my i30s since new and am very happy with it.  :)
My car is a diesel and this oil meets the manufacturer's requirements for diesel engines.

I use the Shell Ultra as well in my petrol, can get it from Blackwoods stores for $44 http://www.blackwoods.com.au/part/02315408/oil-shell-helix-ultra-5w40-209l Don't worry about the 209l tag, just ask for 5ltr's :)

Give them a ring for your closest store 13 73 23

If you supply your own oil, and there is left over oil, ask the service guy to give you back what is left over.....after all   you paid for it...

It's not quite as simple as that... :)

Here is what Hyundai require: :link: If I have my vehicle serviced by someone other than a Hyundai Dealer, will this void my warranty? ? Hyundai
