Every time I pulled up the driveway. Their is this, clunking noise at the rear of my car. Just wondering, is it the damper or, the suspension making that noise

:welcome: I suspect the exhaust mount might be loose, but being a newish model, I would just get it checked under warranty.

Is it at any certain angle? like turning right into the driveway and when the rear right wheel goes over the curb :undecided: is it a metal knocking sound or just clunking in general? you could try wobbling the rear exhaust around and see if there is knocking "exhaust may be hot so be careful when touching it"

No problems! You can probably check if it is the exhaust yourself. If the mounting ring/loop has come adrift you might be able to make it clunk with your hand.

I have just received the Institute of Motor Industry magazine and the Abnormal noise from rear suspension on i30 vehicles 2009-2010 is covered.
The problem is  due to movement between the rear shock absorber damper rod cover and the upper strut mounting bush.
pull down the rod cover down and thoroughly clean the top of the cover and the mounting bush. Apply a appropriate sealant to the upper outer edge of the rod cover and refit. carry out to both rear suspension units.
Hope this helps.

Shame the Institute of Motor Industry magazine doesn't cover abnormal noises in "Hyundai i30 X's" 2015 i30 Active X

Could it be the cat?   :undecided:

C'mon Dave, cats don't go clunk, they go "meow".   :whistler:

They go 'clunk' when they jump into a wall full tilt, meeting said wall at the apex of the jump!

Last time I was home the younger cat was giving the much older cat a bit of a hard time - hunting/pouncing, etc. games and golden oldie just wasn't interested and getting peeved.  So the young one went running and leaping to the top of the couch before jumping from the top... all in one movement - I could see what she was going to do.  So I simply shot my arm out as she went past, in no was intending (nor did I) to hit her but simply disrupt her concentration, it worked... instead of jumping and pouncing down from above, she leapt off the top of the couch full stretch into the wall.   I had actually intended she would slow down, not speed up and change jump.  For some odd reason I was not her friend for a little while, until she wanted food.
