I know the i30 has been out for a while now so is there any word from Hyundai on a new i30 model, facelifted or whatever? Just curious to know. And I apologize if this has been asked before.

I think there was some discussion about the facelift of i30. If i recall correctly there will be new i30 probably in 2010 or 2011. Beside the facelift it will probably have new EURO5 engines and new gearbox (6-speed)..

No real mention of any imminent changes anywhere. There has been some small speculation that the UK hatchback might get indicators (turn signals) on the rear view mirrors, but this is not substantiated in any way.

The 1.6CRDi engine production is in the processes of switching over to the updated U2 variant (at least in Nosovice factory) and will no doubt be fitted with a DPF to achieve next year's euro 5 emissions requirement. They then have the possibility to add 13bhp and 6 speed gear box I think.

Shortly the bosch battery management and idle stop-n-go variant will become available, but I think only in petrol to start with (I dont know for sure). This too is supposed to happen soon. (I personally wouldn't want one of these!)

while "haggling" with a dealer on monday i queried updates for the i30 in oct/nov. he said while he had been informed of updates to the 4wd and another model (names? i dunno) but still had heard of no changes to the i30 at all, not even the indicator changes to match the wagon.

on another note he mentioned the i20 being pushed back til about feb or so as it failed its road test here - no idea if that is news or not

Hm we've had turns signals on rear rear view windows since last year..
(we're talking about this, right? http://www.avtomobilizem.com/modules/articles/image.php?id=10439&size=2 and http://www.avtomobilizem.com/modules/articles/image.php?id=10451&size=2)

New Kia Ceed is already being sold or will start selling in a month I think, so that's why I've said new i30 will probably come out next year.. Ceed came out approx 1 year before i30 did..

I saw the new Ceed last day parked in front of Kia saloon..it looks like this..

I know there's new Tucson coming out very soon, called ix35..that's the 4wd he's talking about probably.. Also the facelift of the Santa Fe will be out soon too..

There are probably pics of both (ix35 and "facelifted" Santa Fe) on the forum, but I'll post some more

i20 is being sold here for few months now, and isn't being sold as close as the Getz was.. And we can't buy Getz anymore, it has been discounted..

So the ix35

new Tucson with is the ix53. There is a MY10 update to the santa fe. and also next year sees the new sonata which was originaly going to take the name of i40, not sure if its still going to have that name here in aus.

There is no plans here in Australia for a change to the i30 next year.
