Hi All,

My first post.

I'm really happy with my new I30 ES but am not sure if its possible to manually fold the door mirrors.  This model has heated electric door mirrors but no button present to fold them in electronically.

I'd like to fold them in so I can get the car into my standard garage when its not being used but don't want to damage the electronics.

Have you actually tried folding one manually? Nothing in the User Manual I guess...

Mine are the same as yours

I just push manually to fold. I find it's best to use 2 hands - 1 by the hinge, to steady the mirror, and the other at the end to which you apply steady pressure, not 1 big push, to swing it inwards.

It can take a bit of a push to get it out of its housing.

I originally gave it a half hearted attempt at folding but didn't want to force the mirror to fold without checking it's supposed to first.  I can confirm they fold and er quite easily too - better start eating my greens:)

--also got to say I'm loving I30 sound system and integration of USB stick/ipod media into the audio display, keeps me dancing--
