Of the 2 versions, A4CF1 and 2, would the entire trans be reinforced, leaving the same VB or would A4CF2 have a new reinforced VB also

Edit: would also like to know if there's a way to determine if it's a wiring harness problem (dry solder etc) or hydraulic/solenoid

The VB failure is not specific to kms and is usually talked about by excited people who have only heard about it. So far, of all the FDs I have owned or worked on, I have never had to deal with the issue.

It seems to be caused by poor metallurgy. How do you reinforce a valve that is wearing internally? You cant!

A suspected dry joint can only be found by physically looking at the circuit.
I am sure that dry joints are not a common fault.   :undecided: I originally made note of it here about 4 years ago. It was based upon a US U-tube claim suggesting that the VB was not at fault.

works on my end...

Anyway, with my particular fault i have made a discovery.
In D i get the occasional slip through various speeds and acceleration (throttle %) eg. travel at 60, slow to 30, re accel, slip, occasionally..  Just different things sometimes, however
in 3, this does not happen, i get no slip in 2-3, slow from 60 to 30, re accelerate, no slip, round corners stomp on gas, no slip.....in 3, no slip ever

further explanation:  In D  @ 60, slow to 30 , doesn't seem to release from D, and acceleration will ask it to go to 2nd and it wont...    Almost as if slowing down in D does not engage 3,2,1 sequentially, it just remains hi gear, and then try to accelerate and it shits.  This problem does not happen in 3.

i have concluded  in D theres not enough pressure in the valve body to run all components, (my diagosis)  Suspect the only issue is one of the valves associated with D
