OK if you want it to look like a van

Honestly, maybe I'm getting old, but black rear windows with clear front looks daft to me.

Of course if you have a good need then function beats form

Yeah,

I'm with Lorian think it looks odd, with privacy glass on rear windows only... I have darkest legal tint all round with most colours including my medium blue (discontinued moonlight blue) looks gr8

I'm not old and I think dark windows for the rear and light at the front looks silly. That being said it can be done nicely as long as the shades match ie not too dark can look ok.

I have darkest legal which is 35% alround by the way. I do wish it could be darker though...

I presume there is some legislation in the UK about not tinting the fronts beyond some (very low) level, so we end up with factory supplied cars with tints that look like this. In a dark colour it'll look like a van!

P.S. I know it's a Ford, I didn't want to dis any i30s

Oh we can and do have cars like that too. 35% is the darkest legal at the front but I have it alround.

      Canterbury, Kent, England.
Windows either side of the driver can only be tinted to 30% (allow 70% of light through).
As they are tinted to this level from the factory you can not apply any further tints to these windows.
All other windows behind the driver can have whatever tint you want.

They don't come from factory with tint here in Oz and it's 35% here.

do you know how dark the Edition is? when you said 'Limmo black' in your first post is that the same colour?

i think if you have heart set on it then just do it, its just tint and therefore ( i do believe) not a permanent fixture to the car, so if you ever decide its too dark you can always change it. you're the one driving the car.
personally i would get the four windows done as that looks even better than just the rear windows, but here in aus its also more of a need with the heat we have.
