Hello, I’ve got a Hyundai i30 1.4l 2010 UK.
I’ve noticed that when i turn on the AC (pressing the AC button causes the green light to come on and stay on) it doesn’t exactly feel like there is any cold air coming through on really hot days.

The main issues and question is todo with the radiator fans. When i turn on the AC, the radiator fans do not come on. The radiator fans seem to work as I’ve heard them spin up a few times when i was idle in hot temperatures and they weren’t too loud which indicates low speed fan is probably working.

Is this normal in my car model for radiator fans not coming on with AC or would this indicate a potential issue with the AC side of things?

AC fans only drag air through radiator when engine gets a bit toasty.
Get your AC air temp checked professionally.

Presume your temp control is on cold.

I had similar with my 2012.

It required to be regassed.

The compressor was working, at idle when the A/C button pressed on the revs increased slightly, and no obvious leaks.

Tested for leaks before regas and after regas A/C working cold again.

Will be circa £150 for the regas.

^ what he said, but where I live a regass and leak check  is a lot less than that -  plus check the cabin pollen filter doesnt have a birds nest in it

The higher price is because the air con uses R1234yf which has been developed to replace R134a

The R134a is circa £40 around here.
