My 2012 diesel auto recently had a brake light staying on, I changed out bulbs to no avail and then did some research and realised the bale light switch is likely failing. Before my new one arrived, the auto got stuck in park and the battery went flat. I was also getting intermittent solid wax light on the dash and the cruise control would not work during this time.
I replaced the brake light switch and rectified the brake lights staying on, recharged the battery and got it started but the transmission is still locked and the esc light is solid on the dash. I also changed out the stop fuse just in case.
Thoughts on next steps?
